Jagmotive is a family-owned mechanical workshop at 2-4 Coombs Road, Tatura. Since 1986 we’ve looked after drivers from Tatura, Shepparton and right across the Goulburn Valley, and we’re the workshop people come to for vehicles most other repairers won’t service.

Logbook Servicing

A new car warranty protects you from the cost of manufacturer faults, and keeping it valid means servicing your vehicle on schedule. You don’t have to go back to the dealer to do that.

We carry out logbook servicing to the manufacturer’s specifications on all makes and models of petrol, diesel and LPG vehicles, using quality parts, and we stamp your logbook when it’s done. Your warranty stays intact, and we let you know about any developing faults before they become expensive.

We use Valvoline oils in our workshop. They’re high quality and, more importantly, they meet the OEM specification for your vehicle, not just the right viscosity. Many of them also carry formal approvals from vehicle manufacturers.

Roadworthy Certificates (RWC)

First inspection from $315 inc GST
Second inspection, if required, $88 inc GST

In Victoria you need a roadworthy certificate when you sell a registered vehicle, re-register one, or clear some defect notices. We’re Tatura’s only VicRoads licensed vehicle testers, so you can get your RWC done locally.

We inspect all makes and models of light vehicle, from passenger cars to light commercials. Buying a used car? We also offer pre-purchase inspections, so you know what you’re getting before you part with your hard-earned cash.

Diagnostics, DPF & EGR Repairs

Engine light on? We’ll find out why.

Even if your vehicle still runs fine, an engine light means the computer has found a fault. We plug in our diagnostic tool, read the fault code and track down the cause, then talk you through the fix.

We’re also specialists in modern diesel emissions systems. DPF blocked? EGR fault? Loss of power? We find the underlying cause and fix it, so you avoid replacing parts unnecessarily.

Dyno Tuning & Performance

From your daily-driven work ute or SUV that needs a little more power or better fuel economy, to your street build, mild to wild, and anything in between: we tune it on our in-house Dyno Dynamics dynamometer for maximum horsepower, torque and drivability.

We specialise in LS V8 Commodores and Barra-powered Falcons, and we tune diesels too. We’re an authorised Haltech dealer, so we fit and tune custom ECU setups in house, and we’re a KESS master tuner, with PCMTEC and HP Tuners for late-model vehicles.

Every tune includes a vehicle health check to make sure it’s fit for tuning, before and after dyno runs, and a printout of your results.

Jagmotive opened in 1986 and has built its name as a reputable workshop for mechanical repairs throughout the Goulburn Valley, with quality workmanship and the customer-focused service you expect from a family-owned, family-run business.

Owners Julian and Eric pride themselves on staying up to date with the modern car. They are Tatura’s only licensed VicRoads vehicle testers, so they can look after your roadworthy requirements too. Together with Ben, their leading mechanic, they’ll get your car repaired efficiently and accurately.

Common questions

Do I have to go back to the dealer for logbook servicing?

No. A new car warranty stays valid when servicing is done by qualified staff, to the manufacturer’s specifications, using appropriate quality parts. That is how we carry out logbook services, and we stamp your logbook.

How often should I get my vehicle serviced?

If your vehicle is on a logbook schedule, use the logbook as your guide. As a general rule of thumb, we recommend a service every 10,000 km or six months, whichever comes first. Keep on top of your servicing and look after your vehicle, and it will look after you. Happy motoring!

What oil do you use?

Valvoline. We use it because it’s high quality and it meets the OEM specification for your vehicle, not just the right viscosity.

When do I need a roadworthy certificate in Victoria?

When you sell a registered vehicle, re-register one, or clear some defect notices. A certificate is valid for 30 days from the day it’s issued.
